Phelan-McDermid Syndrome Foundation - November 2017

The next organization that we would like to raise awareness about is the Phelan-McDermid Syndrome Foundation.  A percentage of ALL proceeds from the month of November will go directly to PMSF. About Phelan-McDermid Syndrome: Phelan-McDermid Syndrome(PMS) is a rare genetic condition caused by a deletion or other structural change of the terminal end of chromosome 22 in the 22q13 region or a disease-causing mutation of the SHANK3 gene. PMS is sometimes called 22q13 Deletion Syndrome. As is the case with many rare conditions, families may come across several different descriptions of this syndrome based on varying genetic descriptions and varying symptoms. Homecam: Month of Giving October & December 2017

The next organization that we would like to raise awareness about is Hopecam.  A percentage of ALL proceeds from the month of October & December will go directly to Hopecam. About Hopecam: Hopecam’s mission is to overcome the social isolation of children in treatment for cancer through the miracle of technology.  Among the first side effects experienced is isolation caused by impaired immune systems, fatigue, and sometimes the need to travel distances to find treatment.  At a time when the child needs the support of friends and family, they are alone.  The technology of web cameras and the internet makes it possible for these children to see and talk with their friends, family and classmates.  Hopecam gives children with cancer tablet computers...

Henrico Police Athletic League: June, July & August 2017

The third organization that we would like to raise awareness about is the Henrico Police Athletic League (HPALS).  A percentage of ALL proceeds from the month of June & July will go directly to HPALS. About HPALS: HPAL strives to provide a high quality and safe environment for at risk youth in grades K-12 through educational, athletic and social programs, while creating a positive relationship between police officers and youth. The second organization that we would like to raise awareness about is gotCUREage.  A percentage of ALL proceeds from the month of May will go directly to gotCUREage. About gotCUREage: gotCUREage is a 501c3 non-profit organization benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) as well as the Myeloproliferative Neoplasm (MPN) Research Foundation.
